Six preps named to USA Jr team for Scotland
By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Four of the standout cross country runners from the Northwest, plus a pair of top Californians, have been named by USATF to the junior team that will compete at the Bupa Great Edinburgh Cross Country Race on Jan. 11. Three boys from the Greater Spokane League -- John Dressel of Mt. Spokane and Kai Wilmot and Tanner Anderson of North Central -- plus Matthew Maton of Summit (Oregon) and Estevan De La Rosa of Arcadia (California) are on the six-runner roster. They are joined by Noah Gade, a freshman at Oklahoma State. The women's team is comprised of five collegians but does include Anna Maxwell from San Lorenzo Valley (Calif.).
Lauren Wood of Butler, Megan Curham of Princeton, Taylor Manett of Michigan, Alexandra Buchalski of Furman and Sarah Disanza of Wisconsin are also part of the team.
The athletes were scheduled to depart on Jan. 7, compete on the 11th and return home on the 13th. More news
