Florida sprinters Anthony Schwartz and Briana Williams both ran sensational sprint doubles on Saturday night at the Great Southwest Classic in Albuquerque, N.M.

Schwartz, a senior from American Heritage FL who will play football at Auburn next year, bolstered his reputation as the fastest prep athlete in the Class of 2018.

In the 100 meters, Schwartz ran a personal best and wind-legal 10.09 seconds (+0.9w) to move to No. 4 on the all-time list behind Trentavis Friday, Jeff Demps and J-Mee Samuels. Two years ago in the same meet, Jace Comick ran 10.09 but his effort was wind-aided.

Schwartz returned to win the 200 meters in 20.49 (-0.7w), slightly off his personal best.

Williams, a sophomore from Northeast (Oakland Park), ran 11.25 seconds (+1.5w) to win the 100 meters and 23.38 seconds (+0.7w) to win the 200 meters. Williams has got a bit faster in both events this season.

Arria Minor of Denver East CO ran 52.50 to win the 400 meters for the second straight year, running slightly slower than her meet record 52.38 set in 2017. Minor was pushed by Sterling Lester of Marietta GA, who ran 52.94 a day after completing the heptathlon.

Minor was also part of an all-star relay team from Colorado that included Maya Evans, Taylor Watson and Sydnee Larkin that ran 44.99 to win the 4x100 relay. Earlier in the day, Evans jumped 20-10.75w to win the long jump.

Sophomore Sean Burrell of Zachary LA won the boys 400 meters in 46.13 seconds.

Emily Sloan of Rock Canyon CO won the girls 300-meter hurdles in 41.10 seconds.

The boys race was one of the best of the night with defending champion Thomas Burns from Miami Northwestern edging Marion Humphrey of Hoover AL 35.47 to 35.52. Humphrey broke the all-time Alabama record of 35.60 that was held by his older brother, Marlon Humphrey (2013).

Burns ran a bit faster when he broke the meet record in 2017 with 35.25.

Aubrey Frentheway of Cheyenne Central won the girls 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters.

KC Lightfoot from Lee's Summit MO, the second-highest prep vaulter in U.S. history, broke the Great Southwest Classic meet record with a clearance at 18-3.75 (5.58m). It marked the seventh meet in a row in which Lightfoot has cleared 18 feet.

Jasmine Moore from Mansfield Lake Ridge TX led four girls past 40 feet in the triple jump and won the competition with a best of 43-0.50.

Tzuriel Pedigo from Parkview Baptist LA broke the meet record in the javelin with a throw of 229-8.

Kain Medrano of Pueblo East CO won the boys discus with a mark of 190-3. He also won the shot put with 59 feet even.

Jessica Haney of Lee's Summit West MO won the girls high jump title at 5-8.75.
