Chelsea Ochoa, a junior at Ventura High, won the girls invitational 800 meters in 2:20.96 at the Ventura County Championships at Moorpark High. Ochoa also ran the third leg for Ventura in the invitational 4x400-meter relay, which placed second in 4:01.39.
